My hire yard runs on software I built.
Newcastle Tool Hire takes bookings, prices delivery and wins local search on a site I designed and built from scratch, and keep improving every week.
- Book online, no account. 36 tools with day, weekend and week prices: pick dates and sizes, add to a basket and book in a minute. Customers pay on delivery.
- Instant delivery prices. Type a postcode and the site works out the distance from the yard and prices delivery and collection on the spot.
- Built to be found. Pages for 10 local towns and for seasonal jobs, so the yard shows up when people nearby search.
- Runs itself. Seasonal looks and tool picks switch on by date, quotes can be shared by link, and it installs on a phone like an app.

I'm Shane Morris. I run Newcastle Tool Hire in Newcastle-under-Lyme, and I build software, which means I build for people who use their phone with one thumb, in a van, in the rain.
That's shaped everything I make: fast to open, clear to read and no sign-up wall. From a hire yard's booking site to a castle adventure game, everything here was designed, built and launched by me.
