Privacy policy

This is the public policy URL for apps I publish on Google Play. Paste this page into Play Console under App content → Privacy policy. If an app later collects more data (accounts, analytics, ads), this page will be updated first.

Who I am

I am Shane Morris, an individual hobbyist developer based in Staffordshire, England. I am not a company on this site. Apps listed under my personal Google Play developer account are published by me.

What this policy covers

This policy covers Android apps I publish on Google Play (including Trolley: Supermarket List, Reckon - Smart Calculator, Bjango: The Gritty Western, Bingo: UK 90-Ball Party Game, MOT Reminder, Bagsy: Retro Castle Adventure, Blimey! The Day You Were Born, KitGuard, QuoteDrive, One Cut: Daily Weight Puzzle and Infinite Cosmos), the KitGuard website (kitguard.uk), the QuoteDrive website (quotedrive.uk) and this developer website. Separate businesses I run (for example Newcastle Tool Hire) have their own practices on those sites.

Data I collect

Default position for my Play apps: I do not collect personal information. There is no sign-up, no mailing list, and no developer-run analytics dashboard.

In particular, unless an app’s Play listing and Data safety form say otherwise, I do not collect:

• Name, email address, phone number, or payment details
• Precise location
• Photos, contacts, or files from your device
• Advertising identifiers for my own marketing

Some apps may store settings or progress only on your device. That data stays on the phone unless you choose to share it.

Specifically for Trolley: Supermarket List: all shopping lists, custom grocery items, aisle order arrangements, and budget limits are stored strictly on your local device. Trolley requires zero account registration, email login, or passwords.

Data Google may process

If you install an app from Google Play, Google processes install, crash, and device information under Google’s privacy policy. I can see aggregated crash or distribution reports in Play Console. I do not sell this.

Permissions

If an app needs a device permission (camera, storage, notifications, and so on), Android will ask at the time. I only request a permission when the feature needs it. You can refuse, and that feature simply will not run.

Children

My apps are not directed at children under 13 and are not designed as Designed for Families apps unless a listing explicitly says so. I do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Legal basis (UK GDPR)

Where UK GDPR applies and I process any personal data (for example an email you send me), the basis is:

• Legitimate interests — answering support mail and keeping the app working
• Consent — if you email me, you choose to send that information
• Legal obligation — if the law requires me to keep or disclose something

How long I keep it

Support emails are kept only as long as needed to deal with the request, then deleted from my inbox in the ordinary course of mail. I do not run a user database for Play apps that have no accounts.

Your rights

If I hold personal data about you, you can ask me to:

• See it
• Correct it
• Delete it
• Restrict or object to processing

Trolley: Supermarket List

Specific technical disclosures for Trolley: Supermarket List (Package: uk.trolley.supermarketlist):

• Local On-Device Storage: All shopping lists, customized aisle arrangements, and budget numbers remain on your device.
• No Accounts: No account creation, email capture, or passwords. Lists work completely offline.
• Advertisements: Google AdMob shows a banner (hidden while you shop in-store and while you type) and an occasional full-screen ad when you finish a shop. In the UK and EEA, Google's consent form asks before ads use your data, and you can change your choice at any time from Ad choices in the app's menu.
• Permissions: Vibration (for tactile haptic checking), and Internet/Network State (for loading AdMob ads). The screen stays on while you shop without needing an extra permission. No camera, microphone or location permissions. The app's font is built in, so nothing is loaded from font servers.
• Cloud Backup: If Android Auto-Backup is enabled in your device settings, list data is safely backed up to your personal Google Drive account.

Bjango: The Gritty Western

Specific technical disclosures for Bjango: The Gritty Western (Package: uk.co.mozzer.bjango):

• Local On-Device Storage: Campaign score, street stars, lives, bounty high score, and gun finish stay on your device.
• No Accounts: No account creation, email capture, or passwords. The game works offline after install.
• Advertisements: Supported by Google AdMob. Banner on the title/menus; occasional full-screen ads between streets, never while aiming.
• Permissions: Internet and Network State (to load ads and optional web fonts), Vibration, and the Advertising ID used by Google AdMob. Zero camera or microphone permissions.
• Content: Stylised western shootouts with firearms. Not directed at children.

Reckon - Smart Calculator

Specific technical disclosures for Reckon - Smart Calculator (Package: uk.reckon.app):

• Local On-Device Storage: Saved projects, pinned calculators, recents, theme, and region settings stay on your device.
• No Accounts: No account creation, email capture, or passwords. Calculators work offline.
• Advertisements: Supported by Google AdMob banner ads and occasional full-screen ads between actions.
• Permissions: Internet and Network State (to load ads), and the Advertising ID used by Google AdMob. Zero camera or microphone permissions.

Bingo: UK 90-Ball Party Game

Specific technical disclosures for Bingo: UK 90-Ball Party Game (Package: uk.co.mozzer.bingo):

• Session & Gameplay Data: In-room player nicknames and bingo ticket marks are kept on the game server (hosted by Render) only while a room is in use, and deleted after the room has been empty for about 15 minutes or within 24 hours. They are never used for marketing or tracking. Solo games stay on your phone.
• On your phone: Your nickname, sound settings, a reconnect token and any unlocked dabbers or booklets are saved in the app's local storage so you can rejoin a game. Clearing the app's data removes them.
• No Accounts: No accounts, logins, passwords, or personal details required. Friends join directly via QR code or short room code.
• Advertisements: Google AdMob shows a banner on the home and lobby screens (hidden while you play), and an occasional full-screen ad between rounds, never mid-game. You can also choose to watch a short video to unlock extra dabbers, colour booklets or 2 hours ad-free; this is always optional. In the UK and EEA, Google's consent form asks before ads use your data, and you can change your choice at any time from Ad choices at the bottom of the home screen.
• Permissions: Internet and Network State (for live multiplayer and AdMob ads), Vibrate (for dab and win feedback), and the Advertising ID. No camera, microphone, location or storage permissions. Number callouts are spoken by your phone's built-in text-to-speech.
• Disclaimer: Bingo is a casual social entertainment party game. It does NOT offer real-money gambling, cash prizes, or any monetary rewards.

MOT Reminder

Specific technical disclosures for MOT Reminder (Package: uk.motreminder.app):

• On this phone: Registrations, MOT, road tax, insurance and service dates, mileage, service notes, policy numbers and breakdown numbers stay on the device. There is no account.
• Plate check: When you look up a registration, only that registration is sent, to a lookup server run by the developer, which asks DVSA (MOT history) and DVLA (tax) and returns the answer. The server keeps the answer in a cache for up to 6 hours so repeat lookups are faster, and keeps standard request logs. It does not receive your dates, policy numbers or anything else from the app. If lookup is not available in your version of the app, nothing is sent and you type the date yourself.
• Camera: Used only to read a number plate. The picture is processed on the device and is not saved or uploaded.
• Reminders: The app schedules notifications for dates you save. It asks for notification permission, and for exact alarms, so a reminder can arrive on the day and time you chose. It is not a daily alarm.
• Advertisements: A Google AdMob banner on the home screen and on a car's page. No full-screen, app-open or rewarded ads. In the UK and EEA, Google's User Messaging Platform asks for ad consent. You can change that choice in the app's settings.
• Permissions: Notifications, exact alarms, boot completed (to restore reminders after a restart), camera (plate scan only), internet and network state (plate check and ads), and the advertising ID used by AdMob.
• Backup: If Android backup is on, the cars and dates on the phone can be included in your own Google backup. You can also save a backup file from Settings. It is saved wherever you choose and is never sent to the developer. It contains your policy and breakdown numbers, so keep it private.
• Not official: MOT Reminder is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, DVLA, DVSA or GOV.UK. Check the official record before you rely on a date.

Bagsy: Retro Castle Adventure

Specific technical disclosures for Bagsy: Retro Castle Adventure (Package: uk.bagsy.game):

• Local On-Device Storage: Your saved game (progress, coins, gems, items in your bag, rooms visited, play time) and settings (volume, button size and side, vibration, and an "ad-free until" time) stay on your device. Nothing is uploaded.
• No Accounts: No account, email or password. The game plays offline; ads need an internet connection.
• Advertisements: Supported by Google AdMob. Rewarded ads only when you choose to watch one (for a hint, an extra life in Classic mode, or 24 hours without ads). Occasional full-screen ads at breaks: when starting a game from the title or after a game over, never during play, at most once every few minutes. In the UK and EEA, Google's User Messaging Platform asks for ad consent; you can change that choice in the game's Settings.
• Permissions: Internet and Network State (to load ads), Vibration, and the Advertising ID used by Google AdMob. No camera, microphone, location or contacts.
• Content: A cartoon pixel-art castle adventure with jumping, mild hazards and puzzles. No violence against people, no chat and no user-generated content. Not directed at children.

Blimey! The Day You Were Born

Specific technical disclosures for Blimey! The Day You Were Born (Package: uk.blimey.app, website blimey-app.netlify.app):

• Local On-Device Storage: The birthdays and names you type (for example "Mum") and your birthday reminders are saved only on your device. They are never uploaded or sent to the developer. All the historical facts are built into the app, so looking up a date sends nothing to a server.
• No Accounts: No account, email or password.
• Sharing: When you tap Share, the app makes a picture of the card on your phone and hands it to the share app you pick (for example WhatsApp). The share message includes a link to the website with that date (and the name, if you added one), so whoever you send it to can open it. Nothing is sent unless you choose to share.
• Birthday reminders: If you turn one on, the app schedules a notification on your phone for that birthday each year. This happens on the device; no server is involved.
• Advertisements: The Android app is supported by Google AdMob: a banner at the bottom of the home screen (not on the story cards), an occasional full-screen ad after you close a story (never in the middle of one, at most once every few minutes), and an optional rewarded ad you can choose to watch for 24 hours without ads. In the UK and EEA, Google's User Messaging Platform asks for ad consent. The website shows Google AdSense ads instead (see Third parties & Advertising).
• Permissions: Internet and Network State (ads and photos of famous people), Notifications (birthday reminders, only if you turn one on), Vibration, and the Advertising ID used by Google AdMob. No camera, microphone, location or contacts.
• Content and sources: Historical facts from the Office for National Statistics, Met Office, HM Land Registry (Open Government Licence) and Wikipedia (CC BY-SA). Not directed at children.

KitGuard

Specific technical disclosures for KitGuard (Android package uk.kitguard.app, website kitguard.uk):

• Local On-Device Storage: Everything you record (items, serial numbers, values, photos, receipts, locations, people, loans and settings) is saved only on your device. KitGuard has no accounts and does not upload your records to any server.
• Backups: If you make a backup, KitGuard creates a file on your device and opens your phone's share menu so you can choose where to keep it (for example Google Drive or email). The developer never receives it. Restoring reads a backup file you choose.
• Exports and QR tags: Insurance PDFs, spreadsheets and QR sticker images are made on your device and shared only where you choose. A QR tag contains the item's name, brand, serial and the owner name you entered, as plain text that anyone scanning it can read.
• Advertisements (Android app): Supported by Google AdMob: a banner on the main kit list, an occasional full-screen ad after saving several items, and optional rewarded ads you can choose to watch before creating a PDF or QR sticker, or for 24 hours without ads. In the UK and EEA, Google's User Messaging Platform asks for ad consent; you can change it from "Ad privacy choices" in the menu. The kitguard.uk website shows no ads.
• Permissions: Camera (only when you take a photo or scan a serial barcode), Internet and Network State (ads), and the Advertising ID used by Google AdMob. No location, microphone or contacts.
• Deletion: Delete items in the app, or clear the app's storage or uninstall it to remove everything from the device.

QuoteDrive

Specific technical disclosures for QuoteDrive (Android package uk.co.quotedrive, website quotedrive.uk):

• On your device: Your business name, base postcode, prices and colour, and your quote history (including any customer name, phone number, item and cost you add to a quote) are saved only on your device. There are no accounts, and QuoteDrive has no server of its own, so I never receive them. The app keeps your latest 200 quotes.
• Working out a distance: To price a delivery, your base postcode and the delivery postcode are sent to postcodes.io, a free UK postcode service, which returns map coordinates. Those coordinates (not the postcodes, and nothing else) are then sent to the OSRM route service at router.project-osrm.org, which uses OpenStreetMap data to measure the driving distance. A postcode you type is also checked with postcodes.io so the app can show a tick. These services may keep standard request logs under their own policies.
• Sharing: A quote leaves your device only when you choose Copy, WhatsApp or the share menu. A calculator link or QR poster that you share contains your business name, base postcode, price per mile, minimum charge and colour in the link itself, so anyone with it can see them.
• Advertisements (Android app): Supported by Google AdMob: a banner (hidden while you type or while a panel is open) and an occasional full-screen ad after you copy a quote, at most one every few minutes and never during your first few quotes. In the UK and EEA, Google's User Messaging Platform asks for ad consent; you can change it from "Ad choices" in Settings. The quotedrive.uk website shows Google AdSense ads instead (see Third parties & Advertising).
• Website analytics: quotedrive.uk asks before using Google Analytics cookies. If you say no, none are loaded. The app does not use Google Analytics.
• Contact form: "Work With Me" on quotedrive.uk sends your name, email address and message to me through Netlify Forms so I can reply. In the app, it opens that page in your browser; the app itself does not send them.
• Permissions: Internet and Network State (postcode, distance and ad requests), Vibrate (a small buzz when you tap), and the Advertising ID used by Google AdMob. No location, camera, microphone or contacts.
• Deletion: Delete quotes one at a time or with Clear All in History, or clear the app's storage or uninstall it to remove everything from the device.

One Cut: Daily Weight Puzzle

Specific technical disclosures for One Cut: Daily Weight Puzzle (Package: uk.onecut.game):

• Local On-Device Storage: Daily results, streak, stats, best Yard run and the sound setting stay on your device. The daily object is worked out on the phone from the date, so the game never contacts a server of mine.
• No Accounts: No account creation, email capture, or passwords. The game works offline after install.
• Sharing: A result leaves your device only when you tap Share and choose an app (WhatsApp, for example).
• Advertisements: Supported by Google AdMob: a banner on the title screen, never while you are cutting, and an occasional full-screen ad between runs in The Yard, never during the Daily Cut. In the UK and EEA, Google's consent form asks before ads use your data, and you can change your choice at any time from Ad choices on the title screen.
• Permissions: Internet and Network State (to load ads), Vibration (haptic taps), and the Advertising ID used by Google AdMob. No camera, microphone or location permissions. The font is built into the app.
• Web version: playonecut.netlify.app shows Google AdSense ads (see Third parties & Advertising). Your results and streak stay in your browser.
• Content: A puzzle game for a general audience. Not directed at children.

Infinite Cosmos

Specific technical disclosures for Infinite Cosmos (Android package uk.infinitecosmos.app, website infinite-cosmos.netlify.app):

• Local On-Device Storage: Your Logbook (the places you have visited and when), saved places and settings such as music and narration stay on your device. There are no accounts, and the app has no server of mine, so I never receive them.
• Built in: The star, galaxy and planet data, textures, music and narration are part of the app, so exploring works offline.
• NASA pictures: When you open The science for an object, the app searches the NASA Image and Video Library for that object's name and loads the matching pictures from NASA. Only the name is sent, along with what any web request carries, such as your IP address. NASA may keep standard request logs under its own policies.
• Sharing: A Logbook card leaves your device only when you tap Share and choose an app.
• Advertisements (Android app): Supported by Google AdMob: an occasional full-screen ad at a natural break, such as after a few discoveries or at the end of a guided tour. There are no banners, no ads in the first few minutes, and at most one every four minutes. In the UK and EEA, Google's consent form asks before ads use your data, and you can change your choice from Ad choices in the menu. The website shows no ads.
• Permissions: Internet (NASA pictures and ads) and the Advertising ID used by Google AdMob. No location, camera, microphone or contacts.
• Content: For a general audience. Not directed at children.
• Deletion: Clear the app's storage or uninstall it to remove everything from the device. On the website, clearing the site's data in your browser does the same.

Keybugs: Word Squash

Specific technical disclosures for Keybugs: Word Squash (Android package uk.keybugs.game, website keybugs.netlify.app):

• Local On-Device Storage: Your best score, best word, Daily results, streak and settings (sound, vibration and reduce flashing) stay on your device. The words you type are checked against a word list built into the game and are never sent anywhere. Each Daily is worked out on your device from the date, so your games are never sent to a server.
• No Accounts: No account creation, email capture, or passwords. The Android app works offline after install.
• Sharing: A Daily result leaves your device only when you tap Share and choose an app, or copy it yourself.
• Advertisements (Android app): Supported by Google AdMob, in the endless game only: an ad you can choose to watch so Patch fixes your broken keys, and an occasional full-screen ad between games (at most one every three minutes). Never during play and never in the Daily. In the UK and EEA, Google's consent form asks before ads use your data, and you can change your choice at any time from Ad choices in the pause menu. The website shows no ads.
• Permissions: Internet and Network State (to load ads), Vibration (haptic taps), and the Advertising ID used by Google AdMob. No location, camera, microphone or contacts.
• Content: A word game for a general audience. Not directed at children.
• Deletion: Clear the app's storage or uninstall it to remove everything from the device. On the website, clearing the site's data in your browser does the same.

Account and data deletion

Apps without accounts have nothing to delete on my servers. Device-only data is removed when you uninstall the app or clear its storage. If an app later adds accounts, use the data deletion page.

Third parties & Advertising

This website is static HTML. It does not set tracking cookies and does not load advertising networks. It does load fonts from Google Fonts.

The quotedrive.uk, playonecut.netlify.app and blimey-app.netlify.app websites show ads from Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to show ads based on your visits to these and other websites. You can turn off personalised ads in Google’s Ads Settings, and read how Google uses information from sites that use its services. In the UK and EEA, ads are only personalised if you agree.

For apps that display advertisements (including MOT Reminder, Trolley: Supermarket List, Reckon - Smart Calculator, Bjango: The Gritty Western, Bingo: UK 90-Ball Party Game, Bagsy: Retro Castle Adventure, Blimey! The Day You Were Born, KitGuard, QuoteDrive, One Cut: Daily Weight Puzzle, Infinite Cosmos and Keybugs: Word Squash), I integrate Google AdMob. Google AdMob may collect and process device identifiers, advertising IDs (GAID), and app interaction diagnostics to serve ads in accordance with Google’s Privacy & Terms.

Changes

If this policy changes, I will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after an update means the new policy applies.
